What you might feel:
Backache and pelvic pressure
Contractions may feel like mild menstrual cramps
Panic about going into labour, fear, anxiety, restless and uncomfortable
What you can do:
Rest – conserve your energy for the long haul.
Go with the flow of your body and listen to what it wants to do.
If it’s night time, try to sleep or at least rest in bed with low lights, read, watch a movie
In the day time go for a walk, have a shower, go about your day calmly
You can have a bath if you water HAS NOT broken
Practice breathing and relaxation techniques – massages, sway, hands and knees, hot packs, tennis balls, etc.
Talk to baby
Keep snacking and drinking water and voiding your bladder.
